Who could forget the days of TV dinners and that all-time favorite, meat loaf? Well, here's an updated meat loaf made with veal and spinach that'll make your guests remember the good ol' days...and know they're even better today.

What You'll Need

  • 1 1/2 pound ground veal
  • 1 package (9 ounces) frozen creamed spinach, thawed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

What to Do

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.

  2. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients; mix well. Form into a loaf on a large rimmed cookie sheet. Bake for 1 hour or until the meat is cooked through.

Notes

For a nice surprise, place some hard-boiled eggs in the loaf by forming the loaf around the eggs. When you slice the baked loaf...watch their faces!
