Cheesy Cauliflower

A melty Cheddar cheese sauce baked over tender cauliflower is the perfect side dish to go along with fresh ham or roast chicken.

Serves: 6

Cooking Time: 15 min

What You'll Need:
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
  • 2 (16-ounce) packages frozen cauliflower florets, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk
What To Do:
  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
     
  2. Add cauliflower, flour, cayenne pepper and salt, stirring until well mixed.
     
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low, add cheese and milk, and simmer 8 to 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and sauce has thickened, stirring frequently.
