If you like enjoying a nice buttered or jelly-smeared biscuit with your morning beverage, then you're going to love our low-fat Yogurt Biscuits! They're everything you ever wanted in a biscuit without any of the guilt!

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup reduced fat milk

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flours, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add yogurt and milk and stir with a wooden spoon, then mix and knead with floured hands to form a smooth dough.
  3. Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness, using a floured rolling pin on a floured surface. Cut into 2-1/2-inch rounds using a biscuit cutter. Place biscuits 1-inch apart on prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake 12 to 14 minutes, or until light golden. Serve immediately.

Notes

These are great topped with sugar-free preserves or a drizzle of honey.
