Chocoholic's Sherbet

If you're a chocoholic, and you can never get enough chocolate, then this one's for you. Chocoholic's Sherbert has all the rich chocolate taste you could want… without any of the guilt.

What You'll Need

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 cup low-fat (1 percent) milk
  • 1/4 cup cold water

What to Do

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and cocoa over low heat. Slowly stir in the hot water and continue stirring for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. Remove the mixture from the heat and gradually stir in the milk. Pour into a 9- x 13-inch glass baking dish, cover, and freeze for 4 to 6 hours, or until hardened.

  3. Break up the frozen mixture and place in a blender or food processor fitted with its metal cutting blade; add the cold water.

  4. Blend or process until smooth and light-colored. Pour into an airtight freezer-safe container; seal and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until set.
