What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and coarsely chopped
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
What to Do
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes, or until apples are soft.
- Remove apples from pan and bring liquid to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook until liquid thickens. Return apples to saucepan and stir in lemon juice; heat through and serve.
