What You'll Need

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded real Parmesan cheese

What to Do

  1. Bring a soup pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add the green beans; blanch for 5 to 6 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the garlic; sauté until golden.

  3. Add the green beans and black pepper; sauté for 3 minutes, or until crisp-tender. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and serve.
