Saucy Pizzeria-Style Omelet

Looking for a breakfast pizza recipe that's full of flavor and sure to satisfy? Then you've got to whip up our Saucy Pizzeria-Style Omelet! Packed with protein, and filled to the brim with crumbled turkey sausage, it's a hearty breakfast meal to start the day right! 

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup liquid egg substitute
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon crumbled turkey sausage
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoon low-fat margarine
  • 2 tablespoon pizza sauce, warmed
  • 2 tablespoon reduced-fat finely shredded mozzarella cheese

What to Do

  1. In a small bowl, combine egg substitute, water, and garlic powder; mix well and set aside. Coat a small skillet with cooking spray. Over medium heat, cook sausage and bell pepper for 2 minutes. Remove mixture to a bowl and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet over medium heat, melt margarine. Add egg mixture to skillet and gently stir for 1 minute; allow egg to setup for 1 minute. 
  3. Top eggs with sausage mixture. Carefully fold omelet in half. Spoon pizza sauce over omelet and sprinkle with cheese. Serve immediately.
