With just a few simple ingredients you probably already have at home, you can make your own Pasta Sauce in a Jiffy. This sauce fits anyone on a diabetic diet, and it's so easy, why wouldn't you give this flavorful option a try?

What You'll Need

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 (8-ounce) cans no-salt-added tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

What to Do

  1. Coat a medium saucepan with cooking spray. Over medium heat, cook garlic about 1 minute. (Be careful not to burn!) Add tomato sauce, sugar, basil, oregano, and onion powder.

  2. Heat mixture until it boils, then reduce heat to low and simmer 5 to 6 minutes, or until mixture is heated through.
