Patty's Seasoning Blend

Our Mr. Food Test Kitchen Supervisor came up with this 4 fresh ingredient seasoning blend, that's perfect as a healthy means of adding exciting flavor to many of our recipes.

What You'll Need

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped red or green bell pepper
  • 1 cup chopped celery

What to Do

  1. Coat a medium nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Over medium heat, cook garlic, onion, bell pepper, and celery until tender, stirring occasionally.

  2. Place in a resealable plastic freezer bag. Freeze until ready to use.

  3. NOTE: You can buy a similar seasoning blend in the frozen food section of the market, but it's nice to make your own. This is handy for use in recipes calling for frozen chopped onions, peppers, and celery seasoned with garlic.
