What You'll Need

  • 4 (8-inch) whole wheat pita breads
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 1/3 cup salsa
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (4-ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) reduced-fat shredded Monterey Jack cheese

What to Do

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Brush one side of each pita with oil. Place pitas on a disposable aluminum baking sheet and top each with salsa, beans, chilies, and cheese, dividing ingredients evenly.
  3. Place pan on grill, close grill cover, and grill pizzas 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust begins to crisp. Remove from heat, cut pizzas into quarters and serve.
