Warm skillet apples are a classic Southern side dish year-round, and we're showing you the easiest way to make 'em just right! With a little bit of cinnamon-sweetness, you're sliced Granny Smiths will become fragrant and mouth-watering good. Warm Apple Treat is light and simple, and it even makes for a delightful dessert!
What You'll Need
- 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices
- 1 cinnamon stick, broken
- 2 tablespoons granulated Splenda
- 2/3 cup water
What to Do
- In a medium skillet over medium heat, combine all ingredients.
- Cover and simmer about 20 minutes, stirring frequently, or until apples are tender but not mushy. Remove cinnamon before serving.
