We know so many of you love cabbage recipes, and this is Our Favorite Cabbage Stir-Fry recipe for anyone with diabetes. With fresh ingredients that are available year-round, this satisfying dish is the perfect way to add a little Asian-flair to your dinner plate. 

What You'll Need

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 onion, cut in half, then sliced
  • 2 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 head green cabbage, coarsely shredded (about 1-1/2 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon water

What to Do

  1. In a wok or large skillet, heat canola oil over medium-high heat. Cook onion, carrots, garlic, and cabbage 6-8 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
     
  2. Add soy sauce, ginger, and 1 tablespoon water. Cook 5 minutes, or until heated through.
