This is exactly how I make my Split Pea soup, except instead of ham I use about 1/4 tsp. liquid smoke and put 1 -2 cloves of mince garlic in it, it's always so good.

Can I make it the same way on top of the stove and how long do I cook it?

Hi there! If you want to make this recipe on the stove, follow these steps: 1. Place all ingredients in a pot. On medium-high heat, bring it to a boil. 2. Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 45-55 minutes, or until peas are tender. Enjoy!

I have made this soup many times and it is so easy and very good.

This soup is very good and very easy to make. I have made it many times now and will continue.

Very simple to make and was a hit at our home. Will definitely make it again.
