If you're a fan of marinated mushrooms recipe, then this is one you have to try! A refreshing snack or side dish, with just a bit of tang, everyone will be asking for more! Whip up these Good Ol' Marinated Mushrooms for your favorite holiday appetizer, or, really just anytime want a flavorful recipe that will impress no matter when you serve it up!

What You'll Need

  • 1 pound white mushrooms, washed and halved
  • 1 small onion, cut in half and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

What to Do

  1. Place the mushrooms in a medium saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 3 minutes; drain and let cool.
  2. In a glass container with a tight-fitting lid, combine onion, vinegar, canola oil, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper; mix well. Add the cooked mushrooms, stir, cover, and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
